Pieces of Ginger is the vibrant studio of artist Lauren Gray, located at M|Arts Precinct in Murwillumbah. Her work explores nostalgia, memory, and everyday beauty through playful still life paintings, bold colour, and a retro-inspired aesthetic. With over 20 years of creative practice, Lauren’s work invites viewers to reconnect with familiar objects in a fresh and expressive way.

During the LAVA Arts Festival, visitors are warmly invited into her open studio to experience her latest works in progress, explore the space where she creates, and engage with her artistic process. The studio also features the ceramic works of Sophie Miller, whose vibrant, handcrafted pieces complement the playful and textural nature of the space. Together, their work creates an inviting and inspiring environment celebrating colour, form, and creativity
