Chelle Wallace combines still life and landscape to stage local domestic scenes and reflect on whose forms of nostalgia are permitted visibility. The sacred Bundjalung mountain, Wollumbin, appears on household walls, registering its presence within daily life and its significance within the world’s oldest continuing culture. These photographs propose continuity as a quiet and deliberate act.
