Gals by the River is a shared exhibition of women artists coming together for the Lava Festival in Wollumbin, on Bundjalung Country. Set within a charming riverside manor, the space starts in the garden then unfolds room by room, each atmospherically different. Sculpture, mosaics, painting, jewellery and more are woven throughout the house, gallery and garden, inviting visitors to move, pause and discover. A workshop space sits at the river’s edge, offering a place for making, gathering and connection.
This exhibition is an experience. A place to wander, to feel, and to meet the work of 17 local women in an intimate and evolving space.
