Gals by the River is a shared exhibition showcasing the art of over 20 women. We have come together for the Lava Arts Festival to celebrate and support each other. Set within a charming riverside manor, the space starts in the garden and unfolds room by room, each holding a different atmosphere. Sculpture, mosaics, painting, jewellery, photography, pottery, leadlight and more are woven throughout the house and garden, inviting visitors to move, pause and discover.
A workshop space sits at the river’s edge, offering a place for making, gathering and connection. This exhibition is an experience. A place to wander, to feel, and to meet the work of local women, in an intimate space.
If you would like to be part of the experience, we have an intuitive clairvoyant offering readings and workshops are happening all weekend.
You can introduce your hands to:
Making clay masks
Sketching
Leatherwork
Earring making
