Presenting a collection of images taken by John Partland Snr - a local cane grower from the 1950's on. These images are proudly presented by his son, local photographer Bruce Partland.

John will be introducing these rare photographs. The evocative images are from high-quality transparencies (slides) that capture the cane growing season with all the beauty and drama.

There are also images from the opening credits of the Summer of the 17th Doll - a beautiful film adapted from the Ray Lawler play with Hollywood stars Ernest Borgnine and Anne Baxter in the lead. Sharing some film history here on the Tweed.

Prints will also be available for sale. The exhibition will run for several weeks.

Thanks Husk Distillery of North Tumbulgum and Jason Pankhurst from Condong Store for their great support and generous sponsorship.
